Do You Plan to Graduate

Here’s Your Checklist:

1.   Schedule an appointment with your academic advisor to complete an Application for Graduation. Applications for Graduation must be initiated with your academic advisor.

2.   Verify that the major stated on your Application for Graduation is the same as your declared major of record in the office of Admissions and Records.

3.   Complete GRAD course substitution Form. If a substitution is recommended, it will be initiated with your academic advisor.

4.   Complete the “Computer Literacy” course. (2003-2004 Catalog year ONLY)

5.   Complete a Request for Residency Waiver.

A waiver of residency is needed if you have not completed the last 21 credit hours of required courses at Southwest Tennessee Community College.

6.   Obtain a signature from the Office of Career and Job Placement?

7.   Schedule the Exit Exam/Major Field Exam with the Testing Center  Please note that there is no  major field exit exam for University Parallel A.A. and A.S. degrees.  The major field exit exam applies only to students graduating with an A.A.S.

8.   Pay the $25.00 application fee in the Cashiers office at the Macon or Union campus.

Completed Applications for Graduation Must Be Submitted to the Admissions and Records Office at the Union or Macon Campus by the deadline:

February 15, 2008

NOTE: Failure to complete any or all of the requirements stated above will delay the posting of your degree and affect your participation in the commencement ceremony.
