
Technical Scholar Intern Program

If so, you might be the ideal business partner to team up with Southwest Tennessee Community College Career Services as we implement the Technical Scholar Intern program.
Employers fill their temporary hiring needs while students gain real-world paid work experience and earn academic credit through Southwest.
The program allows employers to advertise their positions through Southwest Career Services prior to interviewing and hiring the candidate of their choice. Employers cover the student's part-time, hourly wage (minimum $7.25 an hour), while Southwest pays their tuition expenses and provides a textbook stipend.
Participating students earn a grade for their work experience that is based 80 percent on their supervisor's evaluation of their work performance and 20 percent on a synthesis paper they write.
