"The Campus Child Care Centers have earned a Three Star rating from the Tennessee Department of Human Services."

The Campus Child Care Centers are designed to provide multicultural experiences in an open-space setting. The open-space concept embraces all areas in the child’s environment created by the centers' facilities. The staff nurtures the child’s sense of independence and encourages exploration and the making of choices. The open-education concept is based on the belief that children learn and grow at different rates, they are eager and curious about learning, and they learn best when they are able to pursue their interests.

The emphasis of an open classroom is on the integration of the total curriculum, rather than separate subject matter. Academic reading skills, writing, and number concepts are part of all learning. The child’s play is important and encourages children to explore, manipulate and construct. The Center's classroom space encourages this by setting up learning centers throughout the room where each child may decide how and with whom they spend their time.
