Southwest has partnered with Cisco Systems, Inc., the worldwide leader in internetworking, to provide the highest level of technology curriculum to students in the Memphis region. These classes are taught using a combination of web-based, instructor-led curricula and hands-on labs to teach students networking and information technology principles and skills.
The CNAP curriculum is the only official curriculum sanctioned by Cisco Networking Academy. Upon completion of this nine-month program, students will be eligible to take the Cisco Certified Networking Associate (CCNA) certification test.
Classes may start and end on a schedule that is different from regular credit classes and are formed once the minimum threshold for class size is met. Seating in each class is limited; in order to reserve a seat, individuals seeking to enroll in a CCNA 1 class should immediately contact the Computer Resource Center by email at crc@southwest.tn.edu.
