Southwest Tennessee Community College participates in the Federal Financial Aid Program, and all students are encouraged to apply. To determine if there is need for assistance, Southwest uses the Free Application for Federal Student Aid (available online at http://www.fafsa.ed.gov), which takes into consideration the factors that affect a family's financial status. The online application process, http://www.fafsa.ed.gov, takes approximately 3 weeks for processing through the Department of Education. Please be aware that both your financial aid file and admissions file must be complete before a financial aid award will be posted to cover your tuition.
Financial Aid refunds will be available from January 12th through January 15th. Reimbursements will be issued this semester via check. Refunds will not be posted to Southwest Debit Cards.
Please refer to the Financial Aid Web site for additional information.
