Spring 2008 graduates, don't forget to schedule a date to take the C-Base exam. This exam is designed to measure achievement in general education (English, mathematics, social studies and science) and is mandatory for all graduates. Seating is limited, so call the Macon Cove Testing Center (901) 333-4170 or Union Avenue Testing Center (901) 333-5127 to schedule a exam date now.
Note: The exam is two (2) hours in length and 2 forms of photo identification are required.
When you take the C-Base exam, remember that your efforts count. The exam helps both Southwest and Tennessee decide how successful the college has been. Your work affects the college's funding and, more importantly, the college's reputation.
The better Southwest's reputation is, the more valuable your degree becomes.
You will receive your scores by mail and your performance will be compared to student scores across the country. Sixteen students who score at least average will also receive an iPod suffle as a prize! Please get a good night's sleep before the exam, and do your best for your college and yourself!
Additional information about the exam and sample questions can be found at http://www.southwest.tn.edu/testing/cbase.htm.
