Backpack to Briefcase, Making a Successful Transition from College to the Working World
The International Association of Administrative Professionals (IAAP) - Memphis Chapter is hosting a presentation and will feature Amy Stone, Executive Assistant to the Vice President of Talent Acquisition, as their speaker. The topic will be "Backpack to Briefcase, Making a Successful Transition from College to the Working World."
The presentation is open to all current Southwest students regardless of your major.
Date: Friday, October 11
Time: Noon to 1 p.m.
Place: Macon Cove Campus, Farris Building, Room 1201 (Auditorium)

The presentation is designed to help students think about transitioning from a school to work environment and give them a broad perspective on how to brand themselves professionally. The following topics will be covered:
- appropriate dress
- meeting etiquette
Amy Stone joined Service Master as an Administrative Assistant for TruGreen in 2006. She is now the Executive Assistant to the Vice President of Talent Acquisition. She is an active member of the Memphis Chapter IAAP since May 2012.
