Southwest Local Site for FBI’s Teleconference

Southwest Tennessee Community College is the local host institution for a nationwide teleconference, Managing the Mid-size Department: Future Issues. Produced by the Federal Bureau of Investigation Training Network (FBITN), this two-hour broadcast will address managing a mid-size agency and how it differs from dealing with issues in a large, metropolitan department. It is free and open to the public.

The broadcast will be aired from noon to 2 p.m., Wednesday, June 26, at the Macon Cove campus, 5983 Macon Cove, in Farris Auditorium. The teleconference is part of an ongoing series offered by FBITN to the public and law enforcement agencies at no cost.

This informative session is designed to give local law enforcement agencies and the general public an update on the latest developments employed by the FBI in combating crime. This free downlink will approach the issue from a local perspective.

Topics of discussion include Technology, Crime in the Future, Merging of Services, Private and Public Cooperation, and Privatization.
