SOUTHWEST HONORS CONVOCATION APRIL 3 WILL RECOGNIZE COLLEGE
ACHIEVEMENTS
Southwest Tennessee Community College will hold its 2003 Honors
Convocation, “Celebration of Student Achievement,” April 3 at 3:30 p.m.,
in the Verties Sails Gym on the Union Avenue campus, 737 Union. The annual
program recognizes student academic achievements, creative contributions,
and campus and community leadership and service efforts.
Awards will be presented in the following categories:
Who’s Who (39), leadership and community outreach (13), Phi Theta Kappa
honor society inductees (147), departmental awards (19), all-American
scholars (12), Honors Academy (13), student organizations (18) and Dean’s
List (992).
Southwest is the largest two-year college in Tennessee with nearly 12,000
students. It has two main campuses and nearly a dozen centers and teaching
sites throughout Shelby and Fayette counties. |
