SUMMER REGISTRATION BEGINS AT SOUTHWEST
Early registration for the 2004 summer semester at Southwest Tennessee
Community College has begun and will continue Monday through Thursday,
from 8 a.m. until 4:30 p.m., through May 14. Regular registration at the
two main campuses is set for May 24 and 25 from 8 a.m. to 6:30 p.m. Late
registration will be May 27 from 8 a.m. to 6:30 p.m.
Registration at the Macon Cove Campus, 5983 Macon Cove, will be held in
Nabors Auditorium. At the Union Avenue Campus, 737 Union Avenue, students
will register in B-Building, room 106. Students also can register on line
until 10 p.m., at
www.southwest.tn.edu
On-site registration also will be held at the following centers:
• Millington Center, Naval Support Activity, Building 241, May 24, noon to
6:30 p.m.
• Whitehaven Center, 3035 Director’s Row, May 24, noon to 6:30 p.m.
• Fayette County Career Center, 13520 Highway 59 West., Somerville, May
24, noon to 6:30 p.m.
• Gill Center, 3833 Mountain Terrace, May 24-25, 8 a.m. to 6:30 p.m.
• Southeast Center, 5396 Mendenhall Square Mall, May 24-25, 8 a.m. to 6:30
p.m.
Classes for the Summer I semester and the Extended Summer term begin
Thursday, May 27. Summer II semester classes get under way Tuesday, July
6. Students who plan to attend Southwest for Summer II are encouraged to
register during the Summer I registration period.
Current students must first see their advisors before registering.
Transient students must complete the admission process, have documentation
of course prerequisites, and have a copy of their college transcript.
Individuals interested in attending Southwest should call the Admissions
and Records Office at (901) 333-4194 on the Macon Cove Campus, and (901)
333-5924 on the Union Avenue Campus.
Southwest offers Associate of Arts and Associate of Science degrees for
transfer to four-year colleges and universities, Associate of Applied
Science degrees for immediate career entry into technical, business,
service, education and allied health fields, and technical and academic
certificates to prepare individuals for entry-level positions in the
marketplace.
