DYERSBURG;
LADY SALUQIS WIN THIRD STRAIGHT
Julia Cole and Jacki Jackson scored 14 points each to lead the Southwest
women's basketball team to a 69-56 win over Dyersburg State on Tuesday
night in Dyersburg. Also scoring in double figures for the Lady Saluqis
were Kaia Richardson with 12 points and Latoyia Hill with 11 points. The
win was the third straight for the Southwest women, improving their record
to 8-7 overall and 4-4 in the TJCCAA.
In the men's game, Kenneth Bohanna scored 14 points and grabbed a
career-high 17 rebounds to lead the Saluqis past Dyersburg 97-85. Several
other players also had outstanding games, including Londrick Nolen with 23
points, 10 rebounds, and six assists, Jerry Dover with 16 points and three
steals, and Wayne Parks with 17 points and three assists. The win
improved the Saluqis' record to 5-9 overall and 3-5 in the TJCCAA.
