September 27, 2004 For More Information Contact: Keith Gentry (901) 333-4114 -- Kimberly Stark (901) 333-4023/ (901) 489-4771 SOUTHWEST CHEER SQUAD SELECTED Release written by Keith Gentry Tryouts for the Southwest cheerleading squad were held on Saturday, September 25 at the Nabors Auditorium on the Macon Cove Campus, and eight new squad members were selected for the 2004-05 season. “Thanks to all those who participated in the tryouts, and congratulations to those who made the 2004-05 squad,” said Southwest cheerleading coach Sabrina Tiller. “I can’t wait to get started. Go Saluqis!” Squad members who were selected at Saturday’s tryouts are Sharday Godboldo, Angel Hines, Julia Hunt, Myesha Johnson, LaToya Warren, Odesper ‘Nici’ White, Kaylon Wilkerson, and Porcha Willingham. Returning members of the squad are Kandris Echols, Erica Rayford, Tera Taylor, and Chris Thomas. The Southwest cheerleaders attend all home basketball games as well as several away games, represent the College at different Southwest and community functions, and plan to perform at competitions throughout the year.
