SAILS TO BE INDUCTED INTO TENNESSEE SPORTS HALL OF FAME

Sails Jr. will be inducted into the Tennessee Sports Hall of Fame at its
annual awards banquet and induction ceremony on Friday, February 18 at
the Renaissance Hotel in Nashville.
Sails, now in his 26th year as head coach of the Saluqis’ basketball
team, has compiled a record of 547-224 and guided his teams to eighteen
West Division titles, thirteen Tennessee Junior and Community College
Athletic Association (TJCCAA) State Championships and seven Region VII
Championships and national tournament appearances. Sails has been named
TJCCAA Coach of the Year nine times.
In 2004, Sails was inducted into the National Junior College Athletic
Association Hall of Fame and also the Memphis Amateur Sports Hall of
Fame. In 1994, Sails received the Junior and Community College
Achievement Award from the TJCCAA.
