Southwest Baseball
Team Signs Ten
Release written by Keith Gentry
The Saluqis’ baseball team has signed ten student-athletes to
National Letters of Intent to continue their education and baseball
careers at Southwest.
Five of the signees come from Class AAA state champion Bartlett High
School – third baseman Matt Dangar and pitchers Blaine Carnett, Kirby
Grisham, Bryan Joyner, and Justin Wright. Also signing with the Saluqis
were first baseman Jesse Brooks from Brighton High School, infielder
Blake Bennett from Rossville Christian Academy, first baseman Cory
Stultz from Munford High School, pitcher Chris Williams from Houston
High School, and pitcher Tim McCormack from White Station High School.
“I am very pleased with these commitments to our baseball program,” said
Southwest Head Coach Bo Reynolds. “These outstanding young men will
give us much needed depth on the pitchers mound as well as in the
field. It is a great opportunity for our program to sign five state
champions as well as five all-metro players.”
