Lady Saluqis Rise to Number Four

Undefeated in the regular season with a 23-0 record, the Southwest women’s basketball team moved up one spot this week to number four in the National Junior College Athletic Association’s Division 1 Poll. The Lady Saluqis, one of only two unbeaten teams in the NJCAA (the other is top-ranked Central Arizona), have now won 49 games with only two losses over the past two seasons.

Unranked in the NJCAA’s pre-season poll, Southwest entered the rankings at number 11 in the November 21 poll and continued to rise each week until peaking at number five on January 23 and have remained in that position until this week.
