Southwest Police Services/Public Safety Director James Bolden announced that the Southwest Tennessee Community College Union Avenue Campus will be the host venue for the FBI, Memphis Division, Community Relations Executive Seminar Training (CREST) on December 4, from 8 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. The FBI CREST was developed to help establish national partnerships and help create safer communities. The goals and objectives of CREST are:
The seminar will provide an overview of FBI and Department of Justice policies and procedures with a curriculum covering the following topics: Criminal Enterprise/Violent Crime Investigation, White Collar Crime, Civil Rights, Hate Crime & Color of Law, Human Trafficking, Public Corruption, and Terrorism Investigation.
Attendees will be given an overview of the FBI's jurisdiction followed by a discussion of issues relating to their communities. Special Agent in Charge, Memphis Office, FBI My Harrison will provide some opening remarks and introduce the participants from the FBI.
