For Immediate Release The Southwest Men’s Basketball Team moved up one spot to number 21 in the latest National Junior College Athletic Association (NJCAA) Division I Top 25 Poll released this week. The Saluqis are now 13-1 overall and 6-0 in the Tennessee Community College Athletic Association coming off a 118-78 win over Dyersburg State on January 21. The Saluqis have received strong play from sophomores Jeremy Williams (16.7 points, 6.2 rebounds), Myron Strong (14.4 points, 3.1 assists), Reginald Owens (14.1 points, 6.7 rebounds), DeAngelo Riley (11.6 points, 7.7 rebounds), Jeremy Rodgers (10.0 points, 7.1 rebounds) and James Justice (8.1 points, 2.2 assists). The next game for Southwest will be January 24 when the Saluqis host conference rival Jackson State for Homecoming at the Verties Sails Gymnasium.
