President and CEO of AVPOL International, LLC to Speak at "Spark the Dream" Series

On April 17, the Tennessee Small Business Development Center (TSBDC) at Southwest will host its next "Spark the Dream" series featuring Sandra Walls, Owner/President and CEO of AVPOL International, LLC. This event will be held at the Maxine A. Smith Center, Room 101 on April 17 from 10-11:30 a.m.

Already featured in the Black Enterprise Magazine and one of Inc. 5000 fastest growing companies, Walls is taking AVPOL to another level. With a five-year $100 million strategic growth plan in place, AVPOL is positioned to become one of the largest minority or woman-owned businesses in the country.

Walls is a former U.S. Air Force Lieutenant Colonel. "Not long after retiring from 22 years in the military, she decided to do what she had seen few other females do in the military logistics industry before her- start her own business! Come hear Ms. Walls' inspiring story and what she is doing to help young entrepreneurs across the city," said Executive Director of the TSBDC at Southwest Rory Thomas.

Limited seating. RSVP to Yolanda Handy at ybhandy@southwest.tn.edu or call 901-333-5085.
