Steve Katz – Amro Music Piano Excellence Scholarship

Piano scholarships are available for part-time students.

Criteria:

  1. Students must be currently enrolled in or have completed private piano instruction on the Macon Cove Campus.  
  2. Scholarships are awarded competitively based on auditions before a committee of professional musicians, including Dr. Steve Katz and a representative of Amro Music.    
  3. Scholarships pay for either a fall or spring semester’s tuition, fees and the books required for Macon Cove Campus music courses. Also included is a $100 sheet music allowance from Amro Music.  
  4. Students must take (a) private piano instruction AND piano ensemble at the Macon Cove Campus and (b) participate in a recital for scholarship recipients.  
  5. Scholarships may be renewed for subsequent fall and spring semesters.  
  6. Scholarships may be awarded in addition to other financial aid received by applicants.

Selection Process: The Southwest Tennessee Community College Scholarship Committee narrows the field of applicants to those in accord with this scholarship’s criteria and forwards applications to Dr. Steve Katz for handling.
