Financial Aid - Scholarship and Criteria

BancorpSouth West Tennessee Educational Scholarship

Two scholarships are available for the academic year. One scholarship to a current year high school graduate and one scholarship to a returning/adult learner.

Criteria

  1. Full-time student
  2. Any degree program
  3. Memphis or Shelby County resident
  4. Must demonstrate financial need (maximum family income must not exceed 80% of the HUD median family income for the Memphis Metropolitan area for 2007. Income must not exceed $43,280
  5. Scholarship is renewable for the second semester year provided a 2.5 GPA is maintained for the first semester

Procedure

Submit application to the Southwest Tennessee Community College Financial Aid Office by March 15.

Selection Process

Southwest Tennessee Community College Scholarship Committee will choose two recipients per year.
