Local Construction Company Makes Gift to Southwest
Memphis, TN (April, 2009) - Southwest Tennessee Community College received a $12,500 pledge from Inman Construction Company for the proposed Nursing, Natural Sciences and Biotechnology facility scheduled to be built on the Union Avenue Campus.
Page Inman, president of the company, says the need for healthcare professionals in Memphis and Shelby County is far too great not to respond to the appeal.
"Inman Construction is well aware of the shortage of well-educated and trained nurses in today's healthcare world, and we are pleased to be able to help with this important issue."
Inman adds having such a state-of-the-art building available to prospective students should make Southwest a viable addition to Memphis' medical district. "This facility encourages more interest in the occupation of nursing and associated fields. This project should greatly enhance Memphis' growing reputation as a comprehensive healthcare center."
Inman has been the principal contractor on many of the Mid-South's leading healthcare facilities, including the Campbell Clinic and Sutherland Cardiology Clinic. Inman Construction operates in 10 states and has received numerous awards for construction and building design.
