Paul D. Thomas, Executive Director of Human Resources and Affirmative Action
Paul D. Thomas began employment at Southwest in 1994, and has 17 years of experience with the College. As a member of the President's Senior Staff, he serves as an advising authority on employee communications, employee complaints and grievances, discrimination, conflict resolution and management practices. He is also responsible for administering all anti-discrimination programs including Affirmative Action (AA), American Disabilities Act (ADA), Title VI and Title VII of the Civil Rights Act.
Thomas received a Bachelor of Business Administration in Accounting from Tennessee State University in 1987, completed a Senior Professional in Human Resources (SPHR) Certification from the HR Certificate Institute, Society for Human Resource Management in 2000, and is listed as a Rule 31 Civil Mediator in the Tennessee State Courts.
