The Millington Center is located within the University of Memphis Millington Center, with a satellite location on the Navy base in Navy College. This partnership with the University allows increased accessibility, program and course offerings, student services, and resources for all of North Shelby County and the greater Millington community.
The Millington Center was established in 1972 when Southwest offered business courses at Navy College onboard Naval Support Activity, Mid-South. Southwest's partnership with Navy College allowed us to offer a variety of courses to support the educational needs of the greater Millington community, including our military families.

Southwest is a member of the Servicemembers Opportunity Colleges (SOC) which allows the College to better assist our valued military members and assist their families in meeting their educational goasls within the uniques challenges of military life. The Millington Center Director is the SOC representative and counselor for Southwest.
