Find out more about the Tennessee Dual Enrollment Grant!

Dual Enrollment is your chance to get a head start on your college career while also earning high school credits necessary for graduation.

In addition to colleges and universities across Tennessee, colleges nationwide recognize Southwest Tennessee Community College as a leader among two-year institutions and readily transfer the earned credit. The ability to transfer these credits has helped students reduce the time needed to earn a college degree, resulting in significant financial savings.

Eligibility for Enrollment

Prospective dual enrollment students must have at least completed the 2nd semester of ninth grade, have a cumulative 3.2 grade point average on a 4.0 scale and permission from both their principal and their parents. Students wanting to enroll in transfer courses must have ACT sub-scores of 19 or above.

Benefits of Dual Enrollment

Start your college career NOW by participating in Dual Enrollment! It provides you the opportunity to begin accumulating college credit hours with affordable tuition while still in familiar surroundings, with family and friends nearby.
