High school students who choose to begin their college studies early by enrolling in Southwest’s Dual Enrollment program may now be eligible to receive the Tennessee Dual Enrollment Grant. Get a jump start on college!

The TN Dual Enrollment Grant now pays $100 per credit hour up to $300 per semester or $600 per year for Dual Enrollment classes. To be eligible, the student must be a high school junior or senior, have been a Tennessee resident for at least one year and be accepted into the Dual Enrollment program. TN Dual Enrollment Grant recipients also remain qualified to receive the full TN Hope Scholarship upon high school graduation and regular college admission.

Early College Admission

Accelerated Enrollment – (9th & 10th graders only) A high school student taking postsecondary courses for BOTH high school AND postsecondary credit.

Dual Enrollment – (11th and 12th graders only) A high school student taking postsecondary courses for BOTH high school AND postsecondary credit. TN Dual Enrollment Lottery Grant

Joint Enrollment – A high school student taking postsecondary courses for postsecondary credit ONLY.
