Radiologic Technology Program

Admissions

The number of students admitted to the Radiologic Technology Program at any one time is limited; therefore, admission is very competitive, and preference is given to those who exceed the minimum qualifications. These individuals must meet the following general criteria for consideration:

  1. Be accepted to Southwest Tennessee Community College as a Regular Admission student.
     
  2. Submit a special application for the Radiologic Technology Program with required credentials by the deadlines published in the Bulletin.

  3. Have achieved an overall grade point average (GPA) of at least 2.0 on all college level courses completed.
     

  4. Have completed the following prerequisite courses with a minimum grade of C: 

  1. English Comp I                                           

  2. Finite Math MATH 1630                            

  3. Natural Science and Lab                             

  4. Intro to Radiologic Technology RADT 1010  

  1. Have taken the Health Occupations Aptitude Test administered by the Southwest Testing Center.
     

  2. Applicants must complete all prerequisite requirements and testing by the end of the Spring semester prior to the summer semester they are applying.
     

  3. A letter describing the candidates desire to enter the Radiologic Technology Program must accompany the application.
