Affordable Tuition/Transferable
At Southwest, we want to help you understand how you will afford your college education. We offer several options for paying for tuition and we have a full range of financial aid! Look at the sample below and you will appreciate how affordable we are.
Compare the cost of attending your first year at Southwest to the cost of one year at an average state university. Enroll in one of our university parallel programs and enjoy quality education. Then after completing your two-year program, you will be able to transfer to a university without transferring a large debt.

Payment Options
- Deferred Payment Plan: Pace your payments. Pay 50 percent of fees at the time of registration, sign a contract, and make two additional payments by the end of the term.
- Online Credit Card Payment: Student Self-Service makes it easy to pay without coming to the campus.
- Financial Aid: We encourage all students to apply for financial aid. If you apply and are not eligible for Federal or State Financial Aid, you are still considered for the Southwest Grant Program. Half of our students qualify for some form of financial aid! We also welcome students who qualify for the Tennessee Education Lottery Scholarship.

*This is the maximum Pell Grant a student may receive. Pell Grants awards vary based on eligibility determined by the Federal Government when you complete a Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA) application.
Students may also receive additional grants from the state of Tennessee and Southwest.
