Educational Testing Service (ETS) Proficiency Profile

The ETS® Proficiency Profile test is mandatory for all graduates. The ETS® Proficiency Profile test is 40 minutes in length and given onsite as a paper-and-pencil test. A photo identification is required to take the test. Remember to contact the Testing Center to schedule a date to take the ETS® Proficiency Profile test.

Note: The ETS® Proficiency Profile test is also referred to as the Exit or Grad Exam.

Note: In certain career programs, prospective graduates may also be required to take a departmental exam in their area of study. Contact the appropriate Testing Center to schedule an appointment.

When you take the ETS® Proficiency Profile test, remember that your efforts count. The ETS® Proficiency Profile test helps both Southwest and Tennessee decide how successful the College has been. Your work affects the College's funding and more importantly, the College's reputation.

The better Southwest's reputation is the more valuable your degree becomes.

You will receive your scores by mail and your performance will be compared to student scores across the country. Please get a good night's sleep before the examination and do your best for your college and yourself!
