The Tennessee Department of Health is partnering with big box retailer, Walmart, to expand its COVID-19 vaccination outreach to more underserved areas across the state. Eleven out of 100 of these participating Walmart locations are in Shelby County.

The statewide initiative was announced Jan. 28, 2021 and rolled out with a delivery of vaccines to participating Walmart locations the first week of February. Walmart is following Shelby County Health Department’s vaccination plan and maintaining its own hours of operation.

Currently, Walmart is vaccinating members of the groups 1a1 and 1a2, funeral/mortuary workers and individuals 70 years of age and older. To schedule a Walmart appointment, go to https://www.walmart.com/cp/1228302.

The eleven participating Walmart locations are listed below:

    Bartlett:
  • 8480 Highway 64
  • 6520 Memphis Arlington Road
  • 8400 U.S. Highway 64
    Collierville:
  • 560 West Poplar Avenue
    Cordova:
  • 577 North Germantown Parkway
    Memphis:

  • 6990 East Shelby Drive
  • 5255 Elvis Presley Boulevard

There is one exception to the age requirement – the Veteran’s Administration is vaccinating all VETERANS age 65 and older at the VA Medical Center at 1020 Jefferson Avenue in Memphis. Veterans must be enrolled with the VA at www.va.gov to receive a vaccination.
