Communications, Marketing, and Community Relations

The Communications, Marketing, and Community Relations Department is Southwest's voice in the community and within the College. News releases, social media, Southwest Scoop, Southwest Now, Saluqi Connect Student Newsletter and other publications enable the Department to reach students, supporters and the community; and to promote programs, services and opportunities that enhance individual lives and the communities in which they live and work. The Department publicizes the successes and accomplishments of Southwest students, faculty and staff.

Communications, Marketing, and Community Relations supports the College and its mission with strategic Communications and Marketing, advertising, photography, copywriting, and creative and printing/duplicating services. The department produces all major College publications, non-credit course schedules, student handbook and athletic media guides along with a wide variety of other publications including brochures, pamphlets, videos and multimedia presentations as requested.

Our College magazine, online newsletter, promotional television show, and public website have earned recent national and international awards of excellence.

The College public and athletics websites are maintained through Communications, Marketing, and Community Relations. The Webmaster's Office has been honored with numerous national awards for the websites.

Communications, Marketing, and Community Relations continually strives for a highly electronic, print and multimedia profile that reaches potential and current students, supporters and the community on a local, regional and national level.
