The Hospitality and Tourism industry in the state of Tennessee employs more than 280,000 people, making it the state’s second largest employer. The industry also accounts for more than $16.7 billion in direct annual revenue. And, it’s growing.

In the Memphis area, more than 10.5 million visitors spend over $3.2 billion to dine in restaurants, stay in hotels, and visit popular tourist attractions. There are 35,000 jobs in the Memphis hospitality and tourism industry and more are being added each year.
