Mrs. Margaret Cox and Mr. James Cox, Sr. Memorial Nursing Scholarship
As scholarships are dependent upon availability of funds, not all scholarships can be awarded every year.
A completed Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA) (opens new window) application is the basis for all types of financial aid awarded at Southwest, even scholarships, so go online to apply even if you do not believe that you are eligible for grant programs.
Mrs. Margaret Cox and Mr. James Cox, Sr. Memorial Nursing Scholarship
This scholarship is awarded to Southwest Nursing students in their second semester or those in their last semester before graduation or recent graduates who need assistance with licensing exam fees.
Criteria
- Nursing students in their second semester or Nursing graduates or upcoming graduates who need assistance with licensing exam fees.
- Preference goes to who are experiencing financial barriers.
- The applicant must be in their second semester or last semester or have successfully graduated and have not yet taken their national licensing exam.
- Cumulative GPA of 2.0 or better.
Applicant must have received a high school diploma or a GED to be eligible.
Procedure
Submit the application to the Southwest Tennessee Community College Financial Aid Office by March 15.
