Textbook and Access Code Scholarship

The SMARTS/SSPAL (Saluqi Success Pathway for Adult Learners) Textbook and Access Code Scholarship is a great resource for our Adult Learners who receive TN Reconnect funding.

Students who qualify can receive a scholarship for access codes and/or textbooks. Simply have your SMARTS mentor fill out the scholarship form on your behalf. We will check to see if you qualify for scholarship aid and notify you regarding approval. For questions, please contact studentsuccess@southwest.tn.edu.

  • Be a SMARTS Mentee
  • Must be an adult learner (preference given to TN Reconnect recipients)
  • Minimum 2.0 GPA
  • Must not be awarded already by the Foundation or have a book allowance

  • Access Code Scholarship – up to $140.00
  • Textbook Scholarship – up to $250.00. No refunds will be offered to students directly. Textbooks costs only up to $250.00 will be covered. If a student needs $150 in textbook scholarship dollars, only the amount needed would be awarded.

Recipients could be awarded up to $390 (Access Code + Textbook Scholarship)

SMARTS mentor will fill out the recommendation form below as a request for their mentee to receive the Textbook and Access Code Scholarship. Approval from the Retention and Student Success executive director (or designee) and an academic dean should be included as supporting documentation to support the request.
