Message from the President of the Foundation

It's an exciting time to be President of the Foundation of Southwest Tennessee Community College. We recently broke ground on Phase One of our new Nursing, Natural Sciences and Biotechnology Building. When complete the facility will increase enrollment of nurses by 45 percent, from 275 to 400 students. During this campaign we received gifts as small as $10 and as large as $2 million, from various donors. This has truly been a community effort with contributions from individuals, foundations, businesses, alumni and corporations. I am proud to be a part of something that will touch our community in so many different ways.

The Foundation also makes a difference in students' lives through its book and course campaign and its scholarships. Although we consistently have the lowest tuition in the state, our students still need help making ends meet. You can help make a difference at almost any level. For an amount as low as $50, you can help a student succeed.

Finally, I'm not just President of the Foundation; I'm also an alumnus. I believe in Southwest Tennessee Community College. I believe in the programs that make this school succeed. I believe in the potential of its students and in the power of this community to educate and hire the best and the brightest minds that graduate from here every year.
