Message from the President of the Foundation

I am proud to be President of Southwest Tennessee Community College Foundation where everyday our work impacts those who live and work in the Mid-South. From the student who has just graduated from high school to the adult student returning to college for the first time in many years to the business professional who wants to renew his skills, Southwest Tennessee Community College is here to serve the needs of the community.

The Foundation exists to help meet the needs of the college, and our newest initiative, "Southwest and You: Investing in the Future" the largest campaign conducted in college history, when successfully completed will change the face of our community. The Mid-South is already home to some of the finest medical and biotechnology institutions in the country, and Southwest Tennessee Community College is part of that success. Our nursing students consistently outscore those from other programs, but we simply don’t have the capacity to accommodate all those who wish to enter the program. Funding a new nursing facility will change that and allow us to produce even more medical professionals for our area, and our scholarship initiative will permit even more deserving students to attend school.
