Tabatha Brittman hired as College’s second social services coordinator

Tabitha BrittmanSouthwest Tennessee Community College is thrilled to welcome one more addition to the Office of Student Support & Advocacy. Tabatha Brittman has been hired as the College’s newest and second social services coordinator, effective Feb. 16, 2024.

With a background spanning numerous years in supporting students with disabilities through transition services from ages 14 to 21, Brittman brings valuable experience from her previous role as a pre-employment transition specialist with the Tennessee Department of Human Services’ Office of Vocational Rehabilitation. Her unwavering passion for serving and assisting others in achieving their goals defines her purpose-driven life.

Brittman obtained an associate's degree in human services from Southwest Tennessee Community College and a bachelor's degree in human services from the University of Memphis. Eager to expand her knowledge and leadership skills, she earned a Lean Six Sigma Yellow Belt certification from Southwest and pursued certifications in strategic leadership from the UofM, effective leadership from the Tennessee Government Professionals Institute, and ethical leadership from the National Association of State Boards of Accountancy Center. 

Currently, Brittman is pursuing a master’s in strategic leadership at the UofM, demonstrating her dedication to continuous growth and furthering her ability to support students in their educational journey. She is committed to leveraging her expertise to guide students towards success throughout their academic journey. Her wealth of experience, combined with her academic achievements, positions her as a valuable asset to the College in helping students reach their goals.
