Tennessee Education Lottery Scholarships (TELS) are offered by the state of Tennessee. It is required that you complete a FAFSA to be awarded this scholarship. Final certification made by Southwest is required to receive funds once all paperwork has been submitted, so start early!
The Tennessee Student Assistance Corporation is responsible for coordinating the TELS program and has final authority regarding all rules and regulations pertaining to this program. All requirements for eligibility and information for renewal are available to parents and students at Tennessee Student Assistance Corporation.
The Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA) is the application used to apply for all Tennessee Education Lottery scholarship programs. The FAFSA may be completed online at the FAFSA on the Web-Federal Student Aid website. Southwest must be listed as a college choice on your FAFSA application in order for the information to be sent to us from the Federal Processor.
