TSBDC and SiteSell Sponsor "Starting an Online Business" Seminar

The Tennessee Small Business Development Center (TSBDC) at Southwest Tennessee Community College and SiteSell have partnered with the Tennessee Valley Authority (TVA) to offer scholarships to attend the "Starting an Online Business Using the Internet" training series for aspiring entrepreneurs or existing business owners who don't have a website but desire to own an online business.

Individuals selected must have access to a computer (laptop), the Internet and have the determination to be a successful online business owner. You must commit to 10 hours a week to work on starting a business using the Internet, plus the class time. In addition to the requirements above, SiteSell, TSBDC and TVA, the sponsors, require a questionnaire to be submitted to receive one of 10 available scholarships.

The scholarships will cover the cost for this 15-week training course in its entirety. The class will meet on Saturdays from 9 a.m. to 12 p.m. starting January 19, continuing through April 27, 2013. However, if you are not willing to do the work then please do not apply.

If you are interested in starting an online business that you can work from home, please call the Executive Director of TSBDC at Southwest David Doyle at 901-333-5085 or Cozette Wallace at 901-832-7006.
