Southwest Childcare Centers Participate in the Child and Adult Care Food Program

Southwest Tennessee Community College announces participation in the Child and Adult Care Food Program (CACFP). Meals will be provided at no separate charge to eligible children served at the following site(s):

  • Early Childhood Education Center, 717 Beale Street, Memphis, TN 38103
  • Campus Kid's Corner, 5990 Resources Drive, Memphis, TN 38134

CACFP provides aid to child and adult care institutions and family or group day care homes for the provision of nutritious foods that contribute to the wellness, healthy growth, and development of young children, and the health and wellness of older adults and chronically impaired disabled persons.

According to the United States Department of Agriculture (USDA), through CACFP, more than 3.3 million children and 120,000 adults receive nutritious meals and snacks each day as part of the day care provisions. All snacks and meals will be provided in accordance with the USDA non-discrimination policy which prohibits discrimination based on race, color, national origin, sex, age and disability.
