Sophomore centerfielder Alex Turner has been selected as one of 16 players to represent the National Junior College Athletic Association (NJCAA) All-Stars at the 2015 Canadian Open Softball Tournament in Surrey, British Columbia, Canada from June 30-July 14, 2015.

Turner, a graduate of Munford High School, was named first team All-Tennessee Community College Athletic Association (TCCAA) as a freshman last year after leading the Lady Saluqis in almost every statistical category including a .401 batting average, 49 runs, 73 hits, 18 doubles, 15 home runs, 36 runs batted in, 138 total bases, .758 slugging average and .481 on-base average.

In the 2015 NJCAA Division 1 Softball Season Preview, Turner was named as a top returning player. So far this season, she is leading her Southwest team with a .489 batting average, 21 runs scored, eight doubles and a .587 on-base average.
