The Southwest men's basketball team, winners of 14 of its last 15 games, entered the Top 25 of the National Junior College Athletic Association Division 1 Poll this week at number 24.

The Saluqis (14-3) feature balanced scoring with six players averaging at least eight points per game. Sophomore forward David Burrell leads with a 14.8 average followed by sophomore forward Jimario Rivers (11.5), sophomore guards Lorenzen Wright Jr. (11.4), Kennedy McKinney (10.0) and Ronald Whitaker (9.2) and freshmen point guard Brandon Key (8.0). Rivers is also the team's top rebounder with a 6.7 average while Key leads in assists with 5.6 per game.
