Stennis Named TCCAA Player of the Year

LaKyesha Stennis, a sophomore guard from Lexington, Kentucky, was named TCCAA Player of the Year in a vote by the conference’s coaches and was a first team All-TCCAA selection for the second straight season.

Stennis led the conference and ranked in the top ten nationally with an average of 20.3 points per game and also led the Lady Saluqis in free throw percentage (.759) and steals (2.1 per game). In addition, she scored 1,021 points in her Southwest career, making her just the sixth 1,000 point scorer in the program’s history.
