Five Southwest Softball Players Named NFCA All-America Scholar-Athletes

Five members of the Southwest softball team have been honored by the National Fastpitch Coaches Association (NFCA) as All-America Scholar Athletes. To qualify for the award, a student-athlete had to achieve a 3.50 grade point average for the 2015-16 academic year and be submitted by a NFCA member coach.

Honored players were freshman Maddie Lane (Covington, TN/Covington High School) and sophomores Anna Johnson (Milledgeville, TN/Adamsville High School), Olivia Johnson (Milledgeville, TN/Adamsville High School), Elena Maxwell (Collierville High School) and Hannah Wright (Dyersburg, TN/Dyersburg High School). Both Johnsons and Wright also received the award last year as freshmen.
