Argue and Johnson Sign With Tougaloo

Sophomore women’s basketball players Taylor Argue and Chayla Johnson, who led the Lady Saluqis to the semifinals of this year’s Region VII Tournament, have signed with Tougaloo College in Tougaloo, Mississippi to continue their education and basketball careers.

Johnson, who started at point guard for the Lady Saluqis, averaged 8.8 points per game and led the team and ranked second in the conference with 4.3 assists per game. She scored a career-high 31 points against Cleveland State and also had highs of 10 assists against Volunteer State and 11 steals against Columbia State.

Argue was the team’s top scorer off the bench with a scoring average of 9.8 points per game and also led the Lady Saluqis with 63 three-point field goals made. She scored 20 or more points three times including a career-high 23 points against Motlow State.
