Saluqis Dominate Wildcats in Home Opener; Earn 107-42 Victory

The Southwest Tennessee Community College Saluqis began Tuesday’s home opener against Bethel University’s Junior Varsity on a 21-1 run and it was no turning back after that, defeating the Wildcats 107-42.

All 14 players scored for Southwest with freshman forward Shakem Johnson leading the way with 15 points on seven of 8 shooting. Other top contributors were sophomore Michael Littlejohn (13 points, 5 assists), freshman Carlos Marshall (13 points), freshman Malik Anderson (10 points) and sophomore Zavian Jackson (6 points, 6 assists).

The Saluqis, now 2-0 on the young season, return to action this weekend with conference games at the Verties Sails Gymnasium against Chattanooga State on Friday and Cleveland State on Saturday.
