Dawson Simmons Voted to the All-TCCAA West Division Baseball Team

(Memphis, Tenn.) - Outfielder Dawson Simmons, who led the Southwest baseball team with a .386 batting average, was named to the All-TCCAA West Division Team. Simmons also led the Saluqis with 32 hits, nine doubles, 22 runs batted in and a .554 slugging average and was also among the leaders with 15 runs scored and a .480 on-base average.

Simmons, a freshman from Arlington, Tennessee and Briarcrest Christian School, had at least one hit in 22 of the 26 games including a nine-game hitting streak in which he batted .515 (17 hits in 33 at-bats). His top game was against Volunteer State when he had three hits, including two doubles, and drove in four runs.
