State Educators Selected as 2026 HIP Ambassadors
The Tennessee Board of Regents (TBR)–The College System of Tennessee has selected
38 educators statewide to serve as 2026 High Impact Practices (HIP) Ambassadors, including
three from Southwest Tennessee Community College.
Southwest’s representatives are Raquel Adams, specializing in Global and Cultural Awareness; Cynthia Elliott, focusing on Study Abroad; and Salahuddin Masum, representing Technology Enhanced Learning.
The ambassadors promote evidence-based teaching and student experience practices proven to increase engagement, retention, and career readiness. The 2026 cohort is the program’s largest to date and includes faculty from community colleges, TCATs, and universities. Ambassadors serve for one year, sharing best practices and supporting student success across the state.
