Southwest to open second Covid-19 vaccination site at Gill Center

Southwest Tennessee Community College will open its second COVID-19 vaccination site at the Gill Center, 3833 Mountain Terrace in Memphis, April 20, 2021. The new site is a partnership with the state of Tennessee Health Department, Shelby County Health Department and City of Memphis and follows the successful launch of the Whitehaven Vaccination Center Feb. 5 where more than 30,000 vaccinations have been administered.

The Gill Center Vaccination Site is a drive-thru center offering first and second doses of the Pfizer vaccine Tuesdays and Thursdays, 9:00 a.m. – 5:00 p.m. No appointments are required. Individuals 16 years and older are eligible for the COVID-19 vaccination.

Residents can see a list of available appointments on the Shelby County Health Department website at www.shelby.community. Individuals without internet access can call 901-222-7468 (SHOT) or 615-552-1998 between the hours of 9:00 a.m. and 6:30 p.m., seven days a week. Those who are homebound can request a home vaccination visit at https://hcn.memphistn.gov/homebound-vaccinations/ or call 901-222-SHOT.
