Southwest adjusts summer and fall courses for student safety

By Suzanne Gibson

Southwest adjusts summer and fall courses for student safetyDue to the COVID-19 pandemic and out of an abundance of caution for students, Southwest teaching and learning will be conducted online this summer. To best ensure that students have the ability to move forward with their studies as safely as possible, the following adjustments have been made:

  • All summer courses will be delivered online, and all campus locations will remain closed until further notice.

  • Fall courses will be offered online or hybrid (taught partly online and on campus when necessary). *Course delivery method may change in response to the pandemic.

Students are encouraged to register for summer and fall classes as soon as possible in order to secure the best schedule possible. Academic advisors are ready to serve online, by phone or via text and will soon be sending fall 2020 course recommendations. Students should regularly check email for information, and those with questions should contact their advisor immediately.

Professors and instructors remain dedicated to student success and will continue to teach and offer guidance and support to meet individual student needs.
