Dr. Gregory E. Maksi Scholarship
Southwest scholarships are dependent upon availability of funds and may not be awarded every year.
A completed Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA) application is required for all types of financial aid awarded at Southwest including scholarships. You must complete a FAFSA application even if you do not believe that you are eligible for grant programs.
Dr. Gregory E. Maksi Scholarship
Two $1,000 scholarships per academic year ($500 per semester) are available for the candidates
- Returning adults or freshmen may apply.
- Full or part-time students are eligible to apply for the award.
- Cumulative GPA of 3.0 to renew award for the second semester.
- Applicants must be majoring in one of the following technical certificates: Mechanical/Manufacturing CAD, Quality Assurance or Advanced Manufacturing.
- The scholarship will be awarded to one male and one female student.
Procedure
Submit the application to the Southwest Tennessee Community College Financial Aid Office by March 15.
Selection Process
Southwest Tennessee Community College Scholarship Committee narrows field of applicants to six, whose applications are forwarded to the Mechanical Engineering Technology Program Coordinator for the final selection.
