Mandy C. Powell Endowed Memorial Scholarship

Southwest scholarships are dependent upon availability of funds and may not be awarded every year.

A completed Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA) application is required for all types of financial aid awarded at Southwest including scholarships. You must complete a FAFSA application even if you do not believe that you are eligible for grant programs.

Mandy C. Powell Endowed Memorial Scholarship

One scholarship is available for tuition and fees each semester.

Criteria

1. Full-time student
2. High school GPA of 2.8, 2.5 cumulative GPA is required to maintain the scholarship
3. First-time freshman
4. Open to anyone pursuing a degree in Accountancy, Engineering Technologies or Information Technology
5. Must be a Tennessee resident
6. Applicant must have received a high school diploma or a GED to be eligible.

Procedure

Submit application (opens new window) to the Southwest Tennessee Community College Financial Aid Office by March 15.

Selection Process

Southwest Tennessee Community College Scholarship Committee narrows field of applicants to five candidates, whose applications are forwarded to the MPEMS Committee for selection of the recipient.
